"Where words fail, music speaks"

I am a musician at heart! Music is what moves me and I love performing music whenever I can. I have been practicing, performing, and growing as a musician ever since I was little. I started on piano and then moved to drums and percussion soon after. Now, I am primarily a performing percussionist, with also having a passion for and experience in piano and accordion. One of my dreams is to help and inspire other young percussionists to achieve their goals and share the same love for the instrumentals that I have.

A Percussionist from the Beginning
I have always been and want to continue as a performing percussionist! I took interest in learning percussion in middle school in a concert band format and my passion bloomed and grew from there onward. I started competing in Solo & Ensemble events locally throughout middle school and high school and received multiple "Superior" and "Excellent" scores for my performances.
Attending High Point University, I was part of many of the instrumental ensembles on campus. Aside from completing my Minor in Music (percussion studies), I immediately joined the marching band when first arriving at the university, and performed in the group throughout my time there. Being a performer on the drumline in the marching band was one of the best experiences I've had musically and otherwise. The high energy, music, and team camaraderie all made the experience amazing, and I feel honored to have been able to help lead the group for 5+ years. In addition, I joined the Wind Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, and the High Point Community Orchestra during the later half of my time at HPU. Being involved in all of these groups helped me become better musically and professionally in these settings and gave me great opportunities to collaborate with other student musicians and ensembles to create moving music, which I will cherish forever.
Recently, I rehearsed and performed with the Eugene Symphonic Band in Oregon. Now in San Diego, I'm looking to join a similar group soon. I plan to always be an instrumentalist and to perform regularly, and I also really want to help teach younger musicians to better themselves musically. It has been one of my dreams to mentor younger, aspiring percussionists to achieve their goals and to find themselves in the world of percussion like I have. I am always looking for opportunities to help, collaborate, and support other musicians because I want to make a great impact on the music side of the world. I have always set goals to perform for others and inspire others to enjoy music together.
